:: Oversized shield-like center medallion with large scale finials with germinating plants atop a covered Herati main field. Dragon style arabesques throughout the main medallion and corner spandrels. Colors and shades include: Ivory, sky blue, navy blue, powder blue, madder root red, saffron yellow, cream, ivory, aubergine, dusty rose, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One dog eared corner. Localized areas of raised warp on the reverse side of the carpet. Various degrees of expertise in mending, darning, and repairs. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Halvaie Bijar carpet made in Persia circa 1890's vintage. Size measures 9'8" x 14'11".
